Wood sculptor Malcolm MacLachlan has begun work to transform a 10ft oak log into a statue of William Bradley, the Market Weighton Giant. The work has been commissioned by Market Weighton Area Business Ltd., and it is hoped that the statue can be erected in a prominent position in the town in time for the Bradley Day celebrations in May 2007.
