The 12th Giant Bradley Day was held on 27th May 2007, a rather damp spring day, however the rain did not deter local folk from attending the day's celebrations. The highlight of the day was the unveiling of a life size wooden statue of William Bradley, carved from a English oak log by Malcolm MacLachlan.
This year there were four giants in town; the giant statue of William Bradley (7ft 9ins) Market Weighton’s most famous resident. Chris Greener (7ft 6 ¼ ins) a regular visitor on Bradley Day however he is no longer the tallest living person in Britain, after holding the title for 40 years he lost it in March this year to Neil Fingleton (7ft 7 ½ ins) who made his first visit today. The fourth Giant was the 'World's Largest Spade'.
