Adverse Weather causes Flash Flooding in Market Weighton
Torrential rain on Monday 25th June 2007 causes extensive flooding in and around Market Weighton. Storm water drains in the town just were not capable of taking away the volume of rainwater falling in the area.

Whilst an increase in East Riding of Yorkshire Council Tax is expected, Market Weighton Council will not be asking local residents to pay more over and above that for 2008.
